As part of an ongoing journey to pursue knowledge and discover my identity, I have stepped into the new role of Pou Tari – Office Manager. I believe that the variety of roles that I have been involved in over the last decade, have led me to this space.
This role allows me to learn and share the amazing taonga and mātauranga of Mōkai Pātea with the wider whānau. In learning these gifts at mahi I am inspired in my journey to learn te reo, walk my family’s whenua, and create a legacy for our next generations.
“Ka maumahara te whenua, ka mōhio ngā tupuna, ka ako ngā tangata, ko tenei te tūhonotanga”
“The land remembers, our tupuna knew, we are learning, this is how we are all connected”
